Rado is a unique watch which comes with unique designs that are really impressive. Rado is a Swiss based maker of watches. It was formed in the year 1917. It was then known as Schlup & Co. The 1st range of Rado watches came out in the year 1957. It also came out with the 1st watch that is scratch proof. This watch was the Rado Diastar and it was launched in the year 1962. The production still continues and it is also known as the Diastar original. In 1983, Rado became a part of the Swatch Group of watches. Ever since it has been part of the Swatch Group it has come out with many trendy designs.

The designs of Rado have been very different from all the Swiss watches that are made today. It is based on using metal that is high tech and the designs are often classy. They are accustomed to using expensive titanium material various ceramics, sapphire crystal and also lanthanum. Recently in 2004, Rado designed a watch that had a coating of diamond and was hi- tech. This watch was called the V10K. Rado has had its ups and downs as there are not so many buyers of this brand but on the brighter side there are hard-core Rado watch collectors. This is all due to the unique designs of the Rado and the fact that there are some people who prefer the traditional makers. Hence Rado has also been a winner of around 20 international awards. The prices of Rado have been extremely pricy and are quite costly. Most of the Rado watches have been made out of precious material and this is the reason for the expensive price. Rado has been facing problems because of the fake watches that have been made and the forgeries in the market have been really high.
